The three stories that have been nominated to serve as the focus of our next discussion, scheduled to begin on Tuesday, June 10th are:
Laura Bork's "Mama Loved Patsy Cline";
Raymond Carver's "Cathedral"; and,
Jackie Kay's "Wish I Was Here".
Please let me know, in the comments section below this post or via email, which of these stories you would prefer to discuss this month.

I have no clue about any of them, but I vote for Laura Bork. The title is intriguing.
My vote is for Jackie Kay's "Wish I Was Here." I'm intrigued by the Bork and I think that Carver is a short story genius. But I think that Kay is a brilliant short story writer as well, one of my all time favourites, and I want to do my bit to spread the word every chance I get!
I emailed yesterday about joining, I don't know any of the stories but I would say the Raymond Carver as I loved reading some of his other stories
I feel the same way about Bork's story as Kate feels about Kay: I want to do my bit to spread the word. Even if she doesn't become this month's pick, I hope everyone still considers reading it at another date. But in hopes that she does win, my vote is for her.
Katrina,
I got your email and I sent you a blogger invitation to join but it sounds like you didn't receive it. I'll try resending it.
Kate
I've read the Carver, but not the Bork or the Kay, and will read both no matter which one is chosen.
I'd like to read a Kay story - I haven't read anything by her.... so this would be a good opportunity!
